We’ve been designing, developing and managing wordpress websites for 12 years and we understand what works and what doesn’t. This means we can get your site up and running fast, with the right structure for your business and with a design and layout that we know will remain current for at least the next couple of years.
Absolutely – that’s what makes us different and Faster.Digital. Our colleagues over in New Zealand start their day as we end ours and take on the preparation of your site. We’ll get this live and hosted on our very own superfast WP Engine platform, ready for you to check over and sign off – within 24 hours!
Well, it’s really simple. Once you’ve decided on your design and added it to your basket, you’ll be asked to pay a 20% deposit and accept the terms and conditions [minimum contract is one year]. The remaining 80% is payable over the next 8 months by direct debit. This means you’ll have paid for the site within 9 months, with no additional costs.
Subsequent years are payable over 12 months, reducing your monthly cost.
Effectively, we’re saying that significant investment in creating a new website [capital expenditure] and continuing to maintain, update and generally tweak your site is an old model. With our Faster.Digital plan, you get to have your site up and running in 24 hours for a down payment as low as £120.00. This includes super fast hosting, set up and a leading edge modern and responsive website design.
The minimum contract length with Faster.Digital is 12 months [whether you pay 50% + 50% or a 20% deposit and 8 instalments].
You can add to this by buying our data migration package or other faster.digital services. Effectively, you’re keeping capex to a minimum whilst staying at the leading edge.
After the first 12 months of the plan is complete, you’re able to move your site to another hosting provider [we’ll bundle the site up for you – no worries] OR you can continue tov enjoy the support and peace of mind and continuous improvements of Faster.Digital from as little as £50 per month + VAT.
Here’s a wee summary of current HMRC guidelines;
You’ve decided to upgrade your website and are laying out thousands of pounds on development and running costs [or not! Faster.Digital] Your accountant says that some of these are capital and therefore might not qualify for a tax deduction. Can this be right?
HMRC used to see your website as your shop window, and therefore website development was not day-to-day expenditure, but a capital cost. This type of expense is only deductible from profits if it qualifies for capital allowances (CAs). Therefore, whatever you’ve spent money on must have a function in the business. Because a display (shop window or website) is not a function it follows that no tax deduction is due.
HMRC now see that most websites offer customers a means of ordering goods or services, communicating with the business and finding out detailed information about products. These are clearly functions in the business. Therefore, HMRC now says that certain website costs qualify for CAs purposes as ‘plant or machinery’. The types of expenditure falling into this category include that for domain names, hardware and operating software that relates to the functionality of the website.
Because the ‘plant and machinery’ rules apply, CAs can be claimed as part of the annual investment allowance. Subject to a £200,000 maximum, this gives you a tax deduction for the entire expense for the financial year in which you incur it.
HMRC also says that expenses for maintaining and updating your website, for example changing product prices, can be deducted from profits like other day-to-day business costs (usually referred to as revenue expenditure).
Development costs for a replacement website for your business, even one that uses the same domain name, etc., should be treated as capital expenditure to which the CAs rules apply.
The site effectively become yours once the first 12 months is completed.
We’re normally able to do this by ‘scraping’ your content and putting this into your new Faster.Digital website.
Once you’ve decided on the page hierarchy / structure for your new faster.digital site, we’ll begin to move your data.
If you’re looking to move form a brochure suite to a Faster.Digital e-commerce site or upgrade your existing online store, we might ask you to set up a log-in for us or send us a .csv product file. Either way we’ll make this as fast and simple as possible.
Sure you can, we’ll give you a log in and you simply follow the inbuilt tutorials and videos.
We’ll prove you with a monthly analysis of how your content is looking and a whole bunch of guides on how to optimise your content, if you prefer to do this yourself.
Yes, there is. However, because we are experts in doing this, we take less time and therefore there is a smaller cost.
We also take the opportunity to analyse your content and suggest ways that it could be improved and optimised.
We can provide a quote, which would be based on your specific requirements – please click here
Yes we can. Not a problem.
Normally we’ll just get a .csv file from you and go from there. Sometimes, we may need a log in setting up, so that we can access your old site. Either way, we can assure you we’ll find the fastest way to get the job done.
